Florence Martin

June 18, 1936 — September 10, 2017

Florence L. Martin was born on June 18, 1936 to John and Matilda Mueller in Anamoose, N.D. and passed away on September 10, 2017 at the age of 81 in San Antonio, TX. She was a sign language interpreter at Texas Rehabilitation Commission and St. Philip's college and also the former owner of Deaf Interpreter Services in San Antonio. Prior to that she was co-owner of Bruder's Sagebrush, Sur-Lee-Clean and the New Image Inn salons in Grand Junction, Colorado. Florence was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who enjoyed gardening and was an active member of the Episcopal Church.

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Daniel Bruder, Donald Martin; daughter, Shirley Bratten, and her parents John and Matilda and siblings Alvin, Bernice and Agnes.

Florence is survived by her daughters, Connie Baugh, grandchildren Roberta, Stephen and Samuel, great-grand daughters Peyton and Bailey; her daughter Dawn Anderson, grandchildren Charlie and Cayleigh; her son in law Garry Bratten, granddaughter Anna Belle Bratten; Donald's children Susan Johnston; sons Matt and Nathan; Cynthia Martin, Bruce Martin; daughters Emily and Anna and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her brothers Frank Mueller, Elmer Mueller, Richard Mueller and Marvin Mueller. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation http://www.nationalbreastcancer.org

Services will be held Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church at 5310 Stahl Road in San Antonio, TX at 3:00pm.

Burial will take place in Grand Junction, Colorado at a date to be determined.
