Fernando Castellanos

May 10, 1920 — November 16, 2008

Fernando M. Castellanos, was born May 10, 1920 in El Paso, Texas and was called to the Peace of Christ on November 16, 2008 in San Antonio, Texas. He was married to his devoted wife of 50 years, Carmen Lugo, who preceded him in death in 1992. Mr. Castellanos was a resident of San Antonio since 1993. Fernando worked for the Singer Company as a repairman, salesman and manager when he lived in El Paso, Texas. He is survived by his five children and their spouses, Rebeca Azcarate & husband, Juan, Dr. Luis Castellanos & wife, Magda, Carmen Cervantes & husband, Angel, Fernando Castellanos & wife, Marie Anne and Elizabeth Fernandez & husband, Eloy; brother-in-law, Jorge Lugo; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; five sisters and one brother. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM (with a Rosary being Recited at 7:00 PM ) on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Schertz Funeral Home. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma with Father Tony Cummins as the Celebrant. The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the care given to Fernando at both the Autumn Winds Retirement Lodge and also Northeast Baptist Hospital.
