Fannie Opal Shelton, age 87, passed away on September 7, 2018 in Schertz, Texas. She was born on March 2, 1931 to Gordan and Fannie Mitchell near Scottsboro, in Jackson County, Alabama. Fannie was preceded in death by her husband, Walker Thomas Shelton, and son Kenneth Shelton. She is survived by children Phyllis Pulido & husband Narciso, Debra Swenson & husband Wayne, Richard Shelton & wife Deborah, Shelia Davidson, Walker Shelton & wife Dorothy, and Brian Shelton; 41 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; and siblings Lucille Gerbige, Clayton Mitchell and Tommy Mitchell.

A Visitation will be held from 10:00AM - 2:00PM on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services will be held privately at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
