Eves Delcambre
September 26, 1928 — July 10, 2010
Eves Two Strike Delcambre, 81, went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 10, after a lengthy illness. Born September 26, 1928 in Bayou La Batre, Alabama, he was the eighth of nine children born to Clairphe Delcambre and Idolie Menard Delcambre. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lucia Franc Harbaugh Delcambre, San Antonio; daughter Sandra Lynn Sherman and husband, Nathan, San Antonio, and son, Charles Arthur Delcambre and wife, Debbie, Greensboro, NC; grandchildren Brian Sherman, San Antonio; Jonathan Delcambre, Frisco, TX; Timothy Delcambre, Dallas, TX; Danielle Delcambre and Annelise Delcambre, Greensboro, NC; six great-grandchildren; brother, Clifford Delcambre, Irvington, AL and sister, Nelia Mae Fogleman, Lake City, FL. He is preceded in death by his son Christopher Geary Delcambre and granddaughter Paula Lynn Sherman. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the wonderful team of nurses, Kathie, Patrie, Rebecca, Gigi and Anita at Vitas Hospice for the gentle, loving, compassionate care given to Dad during his last few days. Stan Crowley from Schertz Church of Christ officiating.
