Evelyn Boswell

Evelyn Boswell, born on February 28, 1936 in Geronimo, Texas, passed away on March 16, 2019 at the age of 83. Evelyn grew up on the family farm outside of Seguin, Texas. She and her husband Lee did extensive traveling while Lee served in the US Air Force. Together, they opened a Real Estate business in Schertz, Texas and successfully ran it for 30 years. After retirement, Evelyn enjoyed her time with her grandchildren, gardening and casino bus trips. She loved cat tails and bluebonnets. On days that were not favorable for the garden, Evelyn worked on her sewing projects while enjoying the television. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Hertha Kirst; sister, Doris Reininger, and brother Louis Kirst. Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Lee Boswell; children, Rebecca (and Harvey) Scheffler , Lanny (and Gloria) Boswell Jr., Stephen (and Debbie) Boswell; grandchildren, Brian Scheffler, Robin Scheffler, Jason Scheffler and Derek Scheffler, Benjamin Boswell and Emma Boswell; twin brother, Alfred Kirst and the beloved family cat, Rosie. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, March 18, 2019 at 11:30AM at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. The Graveside Service will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 11:00AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Evelyn was a very active member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Schertz, Texas since 1973. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Good Shepherd Catholic Church Building Fund.
