Ethel Wahl

Ethel (Ebbie) A. Wahl, born on July, 30 1938 in Guadalupe County, TX, passed away on January 13, 2019 in New Braunfels, TX at the age of 80. Ethel is preceded in death by her devoted husband Lester Gene Wahl, parents Edward and Adela Zunker Moltz, brothers, Herman and Edward Moltz, sisters Lillian Reinhard, Velma Reinhard, and Zula Irby. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Schultze (husband Brian) and son Darryl Wahl (wife Tricia) and grandchildren Christopher Schultze (wife Kimberlee) and Katelynn Barnett (husband Jonathan). Also great grandchildren Kelton & Kinlee Schultze and Lorelie & Corbin Barnett. She is also survived by her sister Myrtle Staats, and sister in law, Mary Jane Gerth (husband Ronald) in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends that knew her as Ebbie. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the Schertz Funeral Home from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, January 17, 2019, 2:00pm at the St John Lutheran Church in Marion, TX, with the church opening at 12noon for a short visitation. Interment will follow at the St John Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St John Lutheran Church in her name.
