Ernestine Lejeski
May 19, 1923 — June 3, 2014
Ernestine Stanush Lejeski, born on May 19, 1923, in Converse, Texas, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at the blessed age of 91 years. Dedicated to her beloved farmland, at a young age Ernestine developed a strong work ethic through the teachings of her Polish upbringing. Along with her husband, Alouis, 1917-2013, they created a lifetime partnership which thrived from their firm values in the Catholic faith, a foundation of family, and the fruits of their agricultural and ranching endeavors. A woman of many talents, she excelled in business, cooking, gardening, sewing, and she placed her family as the nucleus of her life. She will be united with her husband of 67 years, Alouis Albert Lejeski, her parents, Edward and Nettie Kosub Stanush, and brother and sister-in-law, Sylvester and Elizabeth Stanush. Ernestine is also preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Ed and Josephine Franckowiak, Clifford and Clara Ciomperlik, and Joe Franckowiak. Mother is surrounded by the love of her immediate family, daughters, Lois Vetter and her husband, Wayne, and Beverly Lejeski; son, Randy Lejeski; loving grandchildren, Kari Roudedush and her husband, Michael, Brenna Galle and her husband, Christopher, Callie and Jason Lejeski; sister-in-law, Eulalia Franckowiak; extended family members, Laura Bosquez, Amanda Tudyk, and Don Burkarth; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 8, 2014, from 6:00PM-8:00PM, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00PM, at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 7955 Real Rd., San Antonio, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be on Monday, June 9, 2014, at 10:00AM, at St. Jerome Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery, St. Hedwig, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jerome Catholic Church.
