Ernest Jasek

March 12, 1930 — February 19, 2017

Ernest Anton Jasek, born on March 12, 1930, passed away on February 19, 2017, at the age of 86. Ernest was a veteran of the Korean War for the United States Army 2nd Infantry. He was also a part time rancher. After 32 years as a letter carrier, Ernest then retired from the U.S Post Office. He had many hobbies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, nature, bird watching, gardening, and pretty much anything having to do with the outdoors! He is preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Jasek; parents, John and Klara; brother, Johnny Jasek; sister, Georgie Dierschke. He is survived by his spouse, Bobby Jasek; sons, Douglas Jasek and wife Kimberly and John Jasek and wife Tracey; daughter, Noreen Baker and husband George; step-son, Jeff Wenzel and wife Cheryl; step-daughters, Karen Evans and husband Joey and Brenda Martin and husband Steve; 10 grandchildren; and sister, Olga Cunda. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Selma Cemetery No 2. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made to a charity of choice.
