Erna Meyer

July 20, 1926 — January 11, 2019

Erna Agnes Meyer, age 92, went to be with her Lord on January 11, 2019. She was born to Ottmar and Ida Wenzel on July 20, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas. Erna was a devout Catholic and was the past President of the St. Ann's Society at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She loved gardening, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred Meyer. She is survived by her children, Kenneth Meyer & wife Carrie, Carolyn Dean, and Wayne Meyer & wife Donelle; sister, Lillian Blaschke; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00PM on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Schertz Funeral Home, with a Rosary being recited at 7:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at 11:00AM on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with interment following at Selma Cemetery #2.

The family would like to offer a note of gratitude to the caregivers and staff at Complete Care Hospice of San Antonio, and a special thank you to nurse Marisa BeBout.
