Erldene W. Lott (a.k.a. Lott’s Wife) of Schertz, TX, finished her 96-year pilgrimage on this earth Friday, September 20th for her forever home in heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She was born in Cuero, TX, to Reuben L. Wagner and Beulah O. Benton on July 16th, 1928.
She is survived by her four children - Robert Lott (Vickie), James Lott (Eva), Steven Lott, and Cynthia Hill (Kelly). Seven Grandchildren - Adam Lott (Brenda), Wendi Thomason (Michael), Matthew Lott (Kinza), Janell Lott, Wesley Hill, Rebecca Branecky (Clay) and Lillie Milner (Trenton). Eight Great-Grandchildren - Daniel, Damian, Lucas, Carys, Liam, Ailea, Michele, and Jude.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years - Reuben B. Lott, Jr., her parents - Reuben and Beulah Wagner and stepmother Lorena Wagner, two brothers - Reuben (Bubba) L. Wagner, Jr. and Carroll R. Wagner.
Erldene was a Cuero Gobbler, Class of 1945, and moved to San Antonio upon high school graduation and obtained employment as a Proof Operator with the San Antonio Federal Reserve Bank. It was there that her coworker and friend, Ruth Lott, introduced her to her brother Reuben. They married on January 25th, 1947, a union that lasted 73 years until his death in March of 2020. She also worked for many years as a Bank Teller at Harlandale State Bank and finished out her career with Texas State Bank.
She lived her life being a devoted wife and selfless mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, spending much of her time enjoying her grandchildren and all their extra-curricular activities. She loved to read and spent her last year’s going through countless Amish Romance novels. (The clean ones of course!)
For the past 44 years she has been a faithful member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in San Antonio. If you visited her on a Sunday, the first question would be “Did you go to church this morning?”.
