Eric was a devoted father to his twelve-year-old son Eric Thomas, with whom he loved to travel, attend sporting events, and visit historical sites and museums.

Eric was predeceased by his mother, Mary Chase, and his grandparents, Eric and Carolyn White. He is survived by son Eric Thomas, brother Steven Chase, stepfather Steve Chase, cousins Cyrus Cooper and Heather Peters, and a loving extended family.
