Elinor Gower

Elinor Grace Gower was born to Sven & Theresa (Hayden) Brolin on February 28, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois. She passed away on November 20, 2009 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 79. Elinor was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, USAF Chaplain Robert Gower. She is survived by her daughters, Sara Hull & husband, Phillip of Schertz and Janna Gower & husband, Phil Davis of Asheville, NC; sisters, Runa Hamilton & husband, Alan of Canyon Lake and Jackie Glaske & husband, Paul of Tyler, TX; grandchildren, Rebecca, Robert & Abigail Hull and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Elinor was a devoted teacher and counselor for many years. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at Schertz Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 23, 2009 at Northeast Bible Church in Garden Ridge with Pastor George Billingsly officiating. Private family interment will take place later at Fischer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to: Army Resident Community Endowment, attention: Col.
