Eduardo Farias

Eduardo "Eddie" A. Farias age 67 of Universal City, Texas went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2020.

A kind and caring man, Eddie is most remembered for his comical and cheerful personality. He loved life and loved his family even more. A great mechanic and avid fisherman in his day, he also enjoyed barbecuing for his family, telling stories about his years in the United States Marine Corps, and watching football, especially his favorite team the Minnesota Vikings. Eddie will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Eddie is survived by his wife Janie; son, Victor S. Sosa; daughters, Isabel Torres and Joleen Velazquez (Enrique)
thirteen grandchildren and twenty great- grandchildren; siblings, Estefana A. Franco, Estella F. Muñoz (Jose), Elizabeth M. Shaw (William), Gerard S. Matanane, and Rosa M. Thomas (Shane); cousin, Candelaria Garza and her family, and an abundance of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Doroteo and Inez Saenz; his parents, Francisco and Estefana Matanane, and his brothers Jesus Saenz and Frank Matanane.

The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.

A Memorial Visitation will take place from 5:00PM - 8:00PM with the Rosary to be recited at 6:00PM on Saturday, February 6, 2021 in Schertz Funeral Home Chapel.
