Doyle Gibson, Sr.

June 18, 1921 — August 24, 2008

Doyle Stanley Gibson, Sr. passed away quietly in his home on August 24, 2008, surrounded by loved ones. Doyle was born on June 18, 1921, in Brinkley, Arkansas. He served in both the South Pacific during WWII and in Germany during the Korean conflict. He is survived by Betty, his loving wife of 58 years; daughters, Janet Gibson & husband, David Proud and Diane French & husband, Ron and son, Doyle Stanley Gibson, Jr. & wife, Ali. Honest, hard working, and gracious to a fault, he will always be remembered by his family and friends as a very special man whose curiosity and passion for nature was a constant throughout his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to: Guadalupe Regional Hospice, 1215 E. Court St., Seguin, TX, or to the charity of their choice. Funeral Services (with full military honors) will be held, Thursday, August 28, 2008 at 2:30 PM at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, Fort Sam Houston, TX.
