Doris Darlene Bennett, a beloved mother, wife, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 90 on July 9, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on May 22, 1934, in Elliot, Iowa, to her loving parents Cecil and Esta Sheumaker.

Doris led a fulfilling life marked by compassion and dedication. After completing Nursing School, she embarked on a noble career path where she touched the lives of many with her healing hands and comforting presence. Her commitment to caring for others was unmatched, and her legacy in the field will continue to inspire generations to come.

Beyond her professional achievements, Doris was a woman of many talents and passions. She found joy in the simple things in life - cooking delicious meals, sewing intricate designs, baking treats that delighted the senses, solving challenging puzzles, and immersing herself in the world of books. Her creativity knew no bounds, bringing warmth and laughter to all who knew her.

Doris shared 60 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband William P. Bennett. Together they built a home filled with love and laughter. Doris is survived by her son J.B Bennett; daughter Patrice Casaus and son-in-law Richard; daughter Rene'e Bingham and son-in-law Bruce. Her legacy lives on through her five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who brought endless joy to her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William P. Bennett, her parents Cecil and Esta Sheumaker, her siblings, and her daughter in law, Mary Bennett. 

In the tapestry of Doris Darlene Bennett's life, woven with threads of kindness, love, and grace, she leaves behind a legacy that will forever be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace knowing that she has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those she held dear.
