Donna Whaley

February 2, 1943 — September 4, 2011

Donna Kay Whaley, or better known by her friends as Kay, age 68 of Cibolo, passed away on September 4, 2011. Kay is preceded in death by her father, Melvin Gammon and her mother, Dorothy Sawyer. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Lee Whaley of Cibolo; daughters, Donna Kinsey of Cibolo, Rachel Whaley Carey & husband, Andrew of Schertz and Sheila Whaley Semmler & husband, Guy of San Antonio; grandchildren, Brandi Hernandez of Houston, Ashley Kinsey of Houston, Shaina Scantling of San Antonio and Kaitlyn Carey of Schertz; great-grandchildren, Anthony Kinsey of Houston, Kaylynn Kinsey of Houston, Ezekiel Scantling of San Antonio, Alivia Bahena of Houston and her brother, Don Petty. Kay was known as an excellent house wife and a loving mother. She loved to collect decorative eggs. Kay had a smile that would melt your heart. She never met a stranger. Kay devoted her life to taking care of her family. The last 3 years were a struggle for her due to a stroke but she never let us see it. We will never forget her smiling "Yeps". Memorial Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 9, 2011 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel.
