Donna Dunker

April 22, 1937 — February 24, 2015

Donna Markegard Dunker, formerly of Fergus Falls, MN, left us to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 24, 2015. The daughter of Truman and Irene Markegard, Donna was born on April 22, 1937 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She was married to Maynard "George" Dunker for 60 years, living most of her life and retiring in San Antonio, Texas. Donna loved to travel in the US and abroad. She was an avid card player, and helped run the Canasta group at the Helotes Senior Center for many years. She passionately admired nature and birds, always providing a full bird feeder and bird bath in her yard for the neighborhood birds. She loved being a Grandma, and enjoyed antiques and collectables. Donna was predeceased by her husband, George and her mother, Irene, and is survived by her father Truman, sister, Marlys Johnson (Daryl), children, Marcia Morrison (Larry), Gary Dunker (Dina), Susan Coyle (Tom), grandchildren, Tyler Morrison, Alexandra Dunker, Austin, Ethan, Samantha & Cassandra Coyle, and nephews, Corey, Jeff, Mick & DJ Johnson. A memorial service will be held in late spring in Fergus Falls, MN, where she will be laid to rest.
