Dominic Johnson

December 10, 1961 — November 16, 2015

Dominic "Dom" Johnson passed away on November 16, 2015 at home with his wife. Dom served in the United States Air Force as a Crew Chief and was a skilled aircraft mechanic for over 20 years. He raised three accomplished children and enjoyed his three exuberant grandchildren. Dom had a great sense of humor and constantly joked around with everyone he met. He was an avid sports fan, but win or lose; Vikings football was, by far, his favorite team. Dom was a handyman and could fix anything on a car and around the house. He will be profoundly missed. With his Irish decent, he always insisted his passing be celebrated - for he is in a better place. Dom is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sally Johnson and his sister Roberta Alnas. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Karen Johnson; daughters, Toni Tennison and Stacy Holt; son, Brandon Johnson; grandchildren, Jayden, Janessa and Jackson Tennison; sisters, Jennifer Lingle and Jeanie Weathers; brother, Anthony McShane. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Schertz Funeral Home at 10:00am with Reverend Bill Butler Officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
