Dolores Burns

May 20, 1933 — August 14, 2010

Dolores Burns, age 77, of Universal City passed away on August 14. Dolores was the daughter of the late Arthur and Wilma Pelleran of Alpena MI. Dolores was predeceased by two brothers Arnold and Arthur and two sons Kurt and Jeffrey. Dolores is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 56 years Buzz, daughter Debra Peterman and her husband Bob and their children Beth and Blair; son Barry Burns and wife Kelly and their daughters Virginia and Hailey; daughter Tekla Burns; and daughter in law Michelle Evetts and her husband Max. Mrs. Burns is also survived by her brother Roger Pelleran and wife Carol and brother Gary Pelleran and wife Linda and many nieces and nephews. Leaving their home in Michigan, Dolores and Buzz had a career in the USAF with many assignments in Texas. Dolores was an avid bowler and never missed an opportunity to play bridge. Thanks to Dr. Mark Nelson, her rheumatologist, and his staff for keeping Dolores going for 20 plus years. Thank you to the ER and ICU staff at NE Baptist Hospital for their compassionate care. There will be a Memorial Service Friday, Aug 20 at 9:00 AM at the Schertz Funeral Home followed by Interment at Ft. Sam Houston cemetery at 10:30 AM.
