Dollie Mcdaris

March 14, 1930 — April 22, 2014

Dollie Marie McDaris, born on March 14, 1930 in Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on April 22, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 84. She always took care of her family's needs and truly loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dollie enjoyed cooking and her entire family is going to miss her famous mashed potatoes and hamburgers. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, SMSgt Basil Glen McDaris, USAF (Ret.); children, Michael McDaris and his wife, Marlene, Janna McDaris, Rhonda McDaris, and Mark McDaris; grandchildren, Justin McDaris and his wife, Kelly, Crystal Beckham and her husband, Bobby, and Micah Alvarez; great-grandchildren, Savannah Dyer, Kaleb McDaris, Maddison McDaris, Kaiden McDaris, Alena Beckham, and Shanelle Rey; sister, Eva Atkins and her husband, Rev. Ross Atkins. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 25, 2014, from 4:00PM - 8:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 2:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. Graveside Service will then be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at 11:15AM, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
