Dira Williams

Dira George Williams passed away on February 1st,
2020 at the age of 71. He was born in Houston TX and
shortly after graduating high school he enlisted in the
United States Air Force in 1967. As a member of the
armed forces he traveled throughout the world
during his tour of duty to Germany, Korea, and
Thailand during the last years of the Vietnam War and
various areas around Europe and the United States.
Dira remained in service to his country until 1988
when he decided to retire in Abilene, TX with the rank
of Technical Sergeant. A few years into his retirement,
Dira moved to the San Antonio, TX area where he
settled down for the remainder of his days. He truly
enjoyed having a great time, loved life, good friends
and family. He will forever be remembered for his
good cooking especially his ribs.
Dira was proceeded in death by his father, George
Williams, and his Mother, Alice Hughes. He is
survived by his wife Stephanie Williams, his son
Darrell Williams and his wife Claire Williams, his
daughter Angela Hendrixson and her husband David
Hendrixson, his two grandchildren Alissa Williams
and McKenna Williams, his stepson Nick Flegel and
numerous other family members.
He will be forever loved and forever missed by all
who knew him.
