Dionisia Gonzalez-Medina

Dionisia Gonzalez Medina of Schertz, Texas, passed away on May 13^th, 2024, at the age of 84.  Dionisia was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to Claudio Gonzalez and Cecilia Medina on July 9^th, 1939. Her favorite childhood memory was when neighbors in Puerto Rico would gather in the community park to play and watch the sunset. She graduated from a vocational high school and later became a certified chef.

Dionisia met her husband, Alferdo Guzman-Diaz in Puerto Rico. Together they became business owners in New York and Puerto Rico. She enjoyed dancing especially with family and friends. Her love for God was true. Her favorite saying was, “With God I have everything without God I have nothing.”

She is preceded in death by her late husband, Alfred Guzman-Dina, her late parents, Claudio Gonzalez and Cecilia Medina, her siblings, Yudith Gonzalez, Lino Gonzalez, Pilor Gonzalez, Millo Gonzalez, Victor Gonzalez, and Lydia Gonzalez.

She is survived by her sons, Ruben Guzman and spouse Ryan Guzman, Ariel Guzman, her daughter, Ivette Cintron, and spouse Benjamin Cintron Jr. Also survived by her grandchildren, Stephanie Hernandez and spouse David Israel Hernandez, Alfred Yadiel Guzman, Jasmine Crystal Cintron, Bryan Ariel Guzman, Damian Ariel Guzman, Zara Neena Guzman, Aiden Ishan Guzman, and great-grandchild Emmanuel David Hernandez.
