Diane Jacob
January 31, 1940 — June 5, 2013
Diane Jacob, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away June 5, 2013 at the age of 73. John and Eleanor Surette were blessed with Diane on January 31, 1940 in Stoneham, Massachusetts. Diane was a prestigious Masters Degree Sorority Sister in Beta Sigma Phi for over 40 years. Early in her career she was employed by the Federal Government for several years. Later she devoted 15 years to the Church as an Administrator. Diane loved arts, thus, earning title of Kentucky Mother Artist of the Year. She exemplified a graceful role model as a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Known for her wonderful hospitality as well as excellent cooking, of which her family will miss. Singing praise in the Church Choir, camping and traveling with her family and friends, especially collecting shells while walking the beach were a few of Dianes favorite pastimes. Diane was preceded in death by her parents John E. and Eleanor Surette and brother Peter Surette. She is survived by and will remain cherished in the memory of her beloved husband Reverend James E. Jacob, brother David J. Surette and his wife, Judy, daughter Jill Jacob and her husband, Frank Ficarrotta, son Jack Jacob and his wife, Angela, daughter Lisa Jacob, daughter Kristen Jacob and husband, Richard Tuley, Grandchildren, Jacob Ficarrotta, Cady Ficarrotta, Samuel Ficarrotta, Joshua Jacob, Nathaniel Jacob, Jack Jacob, Sarah Gross, and Jennifer Gross, Great-Grandchildren, Malachi Sutton and Lyric Jacob. She will be dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. A Memorial Service will be held at Schertz United Methodist Church at 2:00PM on Saturday, June 15, 2013, Rev. Richard Bright officiating. All services will conclude at the Church.
