Denny Findley
January 18, 1949 — May 8, 2009
Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather Denny Findley was called home by the Lord on Friday, May 8, 2009 at the age of 60. He will always be remembered for his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ and spreading the word of God. For the last 10 years, Denny had a weekly Bible study at the prison in Lockhart, TX. He was dedicated in teaching the word of God and was blessed in return. Denny took every opportunity to witness to others about God's unconditional love. His sense of humor, wit and endless supply of jokes made him unforgettable. His passion for technology led him to a career as a software engineer as well as a ham radio enthusiast. He had a constant quest for knowledge that he passed on to his children. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Findley. Denny is survived by his wife: Rosalinda; sons: Michael (Christi); David (Sara); John (Courtney Hicks); grandchildren: Jaden, Alexis, and Anthony; mother: Jeane Findley; sisters: Jayne Hunter (Bill); Jody Dennis (Butch); Julie Boyd (Mark); Jeri Findley; brothers: Rick (Robin); Tom (Peggy). Funeral arrangements are being handled by Schertz Funeral Home which is located at 2217 F.M. 3009 Schertz , TX 78154. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14 from 5-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Schertz Funeral Home on Friday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to American Heart Association or to the American Cancer Society.
