Dee Triesch

Dee Lee H.W. Triesch was called home on February 23, 2019, at the age of 91. He was born on December 4, 1927, in Blanco, Texas to Eugene and Rowena Triesch. Dee worked odd jobs as a teenager, including road construction while going to school. He joined the United States Air Force in 1945 where he served for 20 years. Dee served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. He retired from the Air Force in 1966 and then went to work for civil service for 15 years. He had 35 years of federal service. After full retirement in 1981, he started ranching in San Saba County. This was his favorite job. His favorite pass time was fishing and hunting. Dee was married to his wife Helen for 69 years. During their union, three sons were born, David, Darryl, and Donald. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, and the Masonic Lodge. Dee was baptized and a confirmed member of The Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald; and his parents. Dee is survived by his loving wife Helen; sons, David and wife Jane, Darryl and wife Petra; 5 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 4 brothers; 2 sisters; and also nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019, at 10:00AM, at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
