Deborah Kay (Albert) Davenport January 5, 1958 " October 26, 2010 With her mother and children by her side, Debbie Albert Davenport, 52, was escorted into heaven following a decade-long battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Deborah, a five-year resident of Autumn Winds Nursing Home in Schertz, Texas, was born in San Antonio to William Albert, Jr. and Florence Huebner Albert. She was a 1976 graduate of Samuel Clemens High School. She went on to have a career in cosmetology, which included teaching assignments at San Jacinto Junior College, San Antonio Holmes High School and Bryans Texas Womens Prison. She was a resident of La Porte, Lufkin, Mumford and College Station. Debbie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Huebner and Mr. and Mrs. William Albert, Sr., and former mother-in-law, Beverly W. Davenport. Debbie is survived by; her children, Kori Davenport Conaway and her husband Jason of Odenton, Maryland, Nicole Davenport of College Station; mother Florence Albert of Schertz and father Bill Albert and his wife Mary of Seguin; sister Darlene Cook of Austin; niece and nephew Jennifer and Chris Cook; uncle John Albert and wife Bernice of Cibolo. The family wishes to give special thanks to all the caregivers and special friends, especially Larna Meek Gaunt, who dedicated many hours by her bedside. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel.
