Deborah Carr

Deborah (Debbie) Michele Carr, 51, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, was called to her eternal resting place on November 5, 2017. She entered this world on October 14, 1966 in San Antonio, Texas. Debbie was a proud graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, class of 1985.

She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Walter Jack Martyn (Poppie) and Katherine Kelton Martyn (Grandear); paternal grandparents: Donald Carr, Sr. and Margaret Louise Carr; and beloved sister: Vicki Lynn Carr Stover.

She is survived by her parents, Donald Carr, Jr., Sharon K Martyn Melville and James K. Melville; her children, David Kelton Carr and Kayla Renee Carr; her grandchildren: Tristan Ryan Carr and Robbye Lynn Carr; her aunt: Mickey Martyn Callender; her niece: Karen Shay Carr; her soul nieces: Lacey G. Bechtel and Taylor G. Bechtel; numerous cousins; her beloved friend and soul sister, Dana C. Bechtel and beloved friend, Jack E. Van Zandt; family friends and friends.

Debbie had a passion for music from early on; a love for being a hair stylist; and loved her sports from the New Orleans Saints, Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. Debbie adored animals of all kinds, big and small. She has been a great influence on many people and will be greatly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX 78154 (with Visitation beginning one hour prior at 10:00 AM). Graveside Services will immediately follow at Mission Park North Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Defense League in lieu of flowers.
