Dawn Dabbs

Dawn Dabbs, 51, of Cibolo Texas, passed away on December 20th, 2020 after a hard-fought battle with cancer.  Dawn was born on May 5th, 1969 to Marcella and Leonard Sauter in San Antonio. After graduating from MacArthur in 1987, she went on to study Nursing at University of Incarnate Word where she graduated from in 1991. She then went on to receive her Masters degree in 2012 at UTMB-Galveston.  After graduating UIW, she landed her first job as a nurse for Christus Santa Rosa Hospital, where she would spend the first 21 of 29 years as a nurse. The remaining 8 years were spent at Northeast Pediatrics in Schertz, where she lived out her passion to help heal other people.  In August of 1995, she met Jay Dabbs, and they wed on April 26th, 1997, going on to have 2 children, Brandon, and Erin Dabbs. They were happily married for 23 years.  Dawn is survived by Leonard and Marcella Sauter, Morris Sauter, Jay Dabbs, Erin, and Brandon Dabbs.  She was an amazing wife and mom, as well as an incredible nurse. Anyone that knew her, knew that she put everyone else before herself and always did what was best for her family. She will be dearly missed by all.
