David Stegink

May 26, 1959 — February 17, 2013

David L. Stegink, beloved husband, son, brother, and uncle went to be with the Lord February 17, 2013 at the age of 53. He was born on May 26, 1959 in San Antonio to Nolan Stegink (Kerrville) and Joyce Stegink (Schertz). David graduated from Samuel Clemens High School (1977) where he developed a lifelong passion for Emergency Services. During his career he worked as an EMT, Paramedic, Law Enforcement Officer, Dispatcher, and ER Technician as well as volunteering at area fire departments. He was most recently a cardiac tech at Central Texas Medical Center in San Marcos. Davids greatest loves were target shooting, music, comedy, and spending time with his nieces and nephews. David is survived by his parents; wife Tina; brother Garrett and wife, Carol; sister Denise Johnson and husband, Robert; nieces/nephews: Corey, Matthew, Daniel, Alissa, Jeffrey, Courtney, Amanda, Jeremy . A celebration of Davids life will be held at First Baptist Church in Schertz, 600 Aero Ave, on Saturday, February 23 at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that charitable contributions be made to any Volunteer Fire Department of your choice.
