David Soares

March 18, 1991 — May 19, 2018

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of David Michael Soares announces his passing, on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at the age of 27. His family will feel his absence for a lifetime, leaving a void never to be filled, as he was truly one-of-a-kind; but we know he is in God's hands now, fully enveloped in the Lord's love.

David was born on March 18, 1991 in Alexandria, Louisiana. David was selfless, humorous, loving, supportive, kind hearted, devoted, friendly, gentle and generous. He was a thoughtful, caring soul who was always there to lend a hand to a friend or family member in need. David had a love for the great outdoors, hunting, fishing (many times stopping to help young kids near him catch their fish first), camping, hiking for miles, mountain biking, and running marathons for charity. Most of all, he loved his family. He also liked to travel visiting both New Zealand and Jakarta, Indonesia last year with his girlfriend, Danielle, enjoying the whirlwind of incredible experiences of skydiving, whitewater rafting, snorkeling, hiking national parks, kayaking and much more. He was in the process of planning his next traveling adventure in Alaska. David dreamed of one day moving to Colorado to embrace fully his love of the outdoors.

His parents, John and Therese Ann (Neville) Soares, his brother Jon and wife Stephanie (Nemec) Soares, brother, Matthew Joseph Soares, and his sister, Elyse Marie (Soares) Reynolds, will lovingly remember and miss David's love, smile and humor immensely. Uncle David was tall, strong, and funny and his smile will be forever remembered by his two nieces, Aubrey (Soares) and Ashlyn (Reynolds); three nephews, Travis and Willem Soares, and Walter Reynolds. His grandparents Richard Francis and Carolyn Joyce Neville and Maria Soares, as well as Aunts, Uncles, cousins, extended family, dear friends, Josh Dietert, Jonathan Wells, Chris Bomersbach and Chris Traeger, along with many work associates, will also remember him.
