David Lynch

November 30, 1952 — November 26, 2020

David Michael Lynch was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but lived most of his life in southern California. He was best known as “Mike” to his friends and family. Mike was raised by two amazing parents, his mother, Wanda Lynch, and his father, Gerald “Jer” Lynch. Mike grew up with his younger brother Tim, whom he loved and shared many wonderful memories. Mike was always there to help family and friends when they needed him. He was always there to talk and could definitely keep a secret. He lived an interesting life and loved to tell stories of his childhood days. One memory he loved to share in particular was about the time he and his younger brother Tim would walk the foothills in Azusa with their snake kit in hand and their quick trip to McDonalds for five cent hamburgers before heading home.

Mike was a Vietnam veteran and took pride in being a Sailor in the U.S. Navy. He loved to work with his hands and fix up his motorcycle and was really phenomenal at playing guitar. He would share many stories of playing in a band with a few guys and perform at weddings and prom night when he was 15 years old. He was very musically inclined and would later teach his talent to his third oldest grandchild, Donald.
Mike lived on his own for many years in Minnesota, but came to Texas where he could live with family in March 2020. He had great granddaughters that loved to make him coffee and tell him scary stories. And a granddaughter that made sure he had someone to talk to and take care of all the “little things”. I am humbled and honored to have taken care of my grandfather. He never went a night without expressing his gratitude and his love. He will be missed very much.
David Michael Lynch is survived by his younger brother Tim, his daughters, Michelle and Betty, his 20 grandchildren, and 4 great granddaughters.
