David Cameron Hanaway passed away peacefully at home on April 5, 2025. He was born on February 19, 1940 in Birmingham, Alabama.
Dave served for 21 years in the United States Air Force. He began his military career at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas, serving on an underground Atlas 2 missile launch crew. Abilene is where he met and married his wife, Elsie. He served in Viet Nam from 1972-1973. After his military retirement, he was a Realtor in San Antonio for several years.

His comforting and cheerful presence will be missed, but we rejoice knowing that when he left this earth, he entered his eternal home in heaven with God.
Dave is lovingly survived by his wife, Elsie, and two daughters, Dawn and Sherri, grandchildren, Austin, Noah, Bethany, Daniel, David Paul, Ariana, Madison, and Rosalyn, as well as great grandchildren, Rose, Micah, Josiah, Nathaniel, and Evie.
