Our beloved son, husband, brother & father David G. Guzman, aka COWBOY, was tragically taken from us on February 27, 2009. David was born March 17, 1968 to Robert & Nicolasa Guzman in San Antonio, Texas. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Octavio & Gerterudes Guerra; paternal grandfather , Hildo Guzman and his father "in-law, Adolfo Brady. David is survived by his parents; his loving wife, Karen; his two precious children, Alyssa & Kyle; his brother, Robert Guzman & wife, Sherri of Leesburg, Georgia; his sister, Lisa Rodriguez & husband, Joseph of New Braunfels, Texas; his paternal grandmother, Elida Guzman of Benavides, Texas; his mother-in-law, Lily M. Brady; his brother-in-laws, Bo & Scotty Brady; sister-in-law, Debbie Tullos and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. David graduated from James Madison High School in 1986. He was employed at United Parcel Service for 22 years, which included the last nine years as a Feeder Driver. David knew no strangers. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He had a love for horses, cars and motorcycles. He was an avid bowhunter & fisherman. David embraced life and enjoyed it to the fullest. His positive outlook will be his legacy for all who knew him. A Rosary will be Recited at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel, with Visitation beginning at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, Texas. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Antonio Salazar, Steve mason, Danny Statham, K.C. Hahn, Kevin Kenny, Scott Brady, Brian Calhoun and Eli Marquez.
