David Ackerman

August 14, 1943 — July 13, 2010

David G. Ackerman, age 66 of Marion, TX, passed away on July 13, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Linda Ackerman of Marion; children, Venetia Smith, Charley Ackerman, and Austa Ackerman; sisters, Faye Buckhanan, Kaye Mahar, Lynda Shannon, and Sue Brower; grandchildren, Benjamin Ackerman, Grace Ackerman, and Whitney Smith. David worked for 30 years as a superintendent in the oil field. His passion was golf and fishing. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM (with a short prayer service at 2:00 PM) on Thursday, July 15, 2010 at Schertz Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: American Diabetes Association, Vitas Hospice, or the TX Foundation of Hope.
