Darla Sue Jacobs Vosburg, born on July 17, 1943, passed away on April 17, 2016, at the age of 72. Darla was a devoted military wife for more than 22 years. She was an adventurous mother raising her daughters in Girl Scouts, roller skating, anyone? She was a dedicated worker at Sippel's True Value Hardware. Darla was a savvy business owner serving her customers at Bluebonnet and Texas Gifts. Darla's legacy will be her gift of art to her students, friends, children, and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Audrey Jacobs; sisters, Barbara Tisch and Janice Beaver. Darla is survived by her loving husband, Dale Vosburg of Universal City, TX; daughters, Danielle (Brian) Stephens of Loveland, CO; and Darlene (Scott) Durham of Schertz, TX; grandchildren, Cory, Jared, and Nathan Durham of Schertz, TX, and Stacey, and Jake Doherty of Loveland, CO; brother, James (Joyce) Jacobs of Ashtabula, OH. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 25, 2016, at 4:00 PM, at Universal City United Methodist Church, Reverend Linda Baumheckel officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that any memorial donations be made to the Universal City United Methodist Church Bell Choir.
