Daphina Russell

June 5, 1927 — July 28, 2021

Daphina Joan Russell nee Harris, born on June 5, 1927 in Cromwell, OK passed away on July 28, 2021 at the Rosewood Nursing Home in San Antonio Tx. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Fred Russell and parents Taylor David and Ruby Florence Harris.

Daphina is survived by her brother Jerry Harris, daughters Linda Grady and husband Kevin Grady of Atlanta, GA, Karen Sokol and husband Mark Sokol of Schertz, TX and grandson Ryan Grady of Kennesaw, GA.

Fred and Daphina were married January 18, 1952 in Houston, TX. Fred and Daphina enjoyed a life of travel during their marriage as Fred was a veteran of United States Air Force. They especially loved their time and travels when they were stationed in Fürstenfeldbruck and Rhein-Main Germany.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, August 20, 2021, 10:00 am at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to the charity of your choice.
