Danny (Dan) Heimerich, born on June 23, 1963, passed away on November 11, 2016 at the age of 53. Dan is deeply religious man and has a strong faith in god. He was not a boastful man but had many degrees and certificates, which included a Master's Degree in Mathematical Engineering. His greatest accomplishments were his family life and stellar military career. Dan joined the United States Air Force in 1981 and retired after 24 years of service. He worked as a civilian with DOD and retired after 10 years. Dan was proud of his work as a Military Training Instructor and received his Blue Rope, an honor only bestowed on 10% of the Military Training Instructors. Dan did everything with pride and honor. He built a perfect home to honor his wife and their life together. He meticulously picked out the perfect furnishings and decorations. Dan loved and honored each and every moment spent with family and friends. He deeply cherished his family and friends, and had a special place in his heart for each and every one. Dan is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Lynn Heimerich and Glenda Ruth Hamlett Gonzales; father-in-law, Frank Casias. Dan is survived by his loving wife, Angela Heimerich (Casias), stepson, Scott Lewis III; stepdaughter, Nicole Lewis; grandchildren, Josiah Lewis, Marcello Lewis, Myah Lewis; stepfather, Joe Gonzales; mother-in-law, Deluvina Casias- Maestas; brother, Mike Heimerich and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 5:30PM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 6:30PM.
