Daniel Kardys

Daniel Kardys went to be with the Lord when he unexpectedly passed away, with family by his side, on December 6, 2015 at the age of 57. Danny was born February 10, 1958 to Juanita and Mack Kardys in San Antonio, Texas. He grew up in Schertz, Texas with his parents and four siblings and later moved to Cibolo, Texas where he lived for the remainder of his life. Danny graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in 1976 and in 1981 was married to his wife, Rita and together they had five children. He was a Master Technician Mechanic for Nissan and then became the business owner of Kardys Rv, Boat and Camper Storage where he created a safe, secure and successful environment for him and his customers. Danny was a very hard working family man. He never failed to help others in need, and always found a way to creatively solve any problem. He was raised with good morals and values and continued passing those on to his family. Danny was a gun enthusiast, and a member of the NRA. In his free time, he loved listening to live music, spending time with friends and family at his favorite restaurants and going to the shooting range. He loved his American freedom and was a very humorous, loyal and giving person. Danny was a spiritual man of God and a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his sister Pat McKinnon and parents Juanita and Mack Kardys. Danny is survived by his loving wife, Rita; his children Alicia with husband Ryan Willoughby, Luke, Mack, Mary, and Selena; his grandchildren Trent, Noah and Grant Willoughby. Along with siblings Richard Kardys, Kenneth Kardys, Diane Birdwell and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and in laws. A Visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home, Thursday December 10th, 5:00PM-9:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Friday December 11th at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Selma Cemetery #2.
