Cmsgt Sturm

CMSgt James Theodore (Ted) Sturm, United States Air Force, (Ret),was born on January 26, 1943, passed away on February 10, 2013, at the age of 70. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Medellin Sturm, daughters, Deborah Rusch (Mike), Brenda Frederick (Martin), brothers, Richard Sturm of College Station, Mark Biegler of Mannington, West Virginia, grandchildren, Chris Frederick, Madeline Frederick, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He proudly served his country for over 30 years with the United States Air Force and 20 years as Human Resources Director with Lockheed Martin. He was a loving husband, dad, grandfather, brother and friend. He was much loved by all and will be greatly missed by all that he touched. He was a magnificent man and to his wife "he was a special gift". A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Schertz Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at 12:00pm, with military honors and interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the Alamo Aerospace Academies in care of the Ted Sturm Scholarship Fund, 800 Quintana Road, Building 8, San Antonio, Texas 78211.
