CMSgt Walter B. Cook, Jr., USAF, Ret. of Schertz, Texas went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2010 at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by siblings; Herbert, Lois, Julia, Geneva, Madeline, and Freida. Walter is survived by his loving wife, Gilda; son, Gary Cook & wife, Karen; daughters, Donna Cook, Shari Busch & husband, Larry Sr., Patricia Cook-Craig & husband, Carlton; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 5:00 until 9:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, with full military honors.
