Clifton Toler, beloved husband and father, entered this world on October 23, 1937 in New Bern, North Carolina, to Clem and Lena Toler. He was called to his eternal resting place on February 14, 2018 at the age of 80.
Serving from 1956 - 1976, Clifton was an Air Force Officer whom retired from the Air Force with 20 years service as a Radar Navigator on B-52's and B-58's and was also an elite member of the Mach 2 Club. He enjoyed f lying, boating, gardening and music. In addition to flying military aircrafts, he was a private pilot and loved to take his family on trips in the airplane or boat. Clifton was an avid gardener, planting trees and flowers everywhere he lived. He also played the guitar, violin, piano, and banjo.
Clifton is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joan; son, Curtis Toler; daughter, Lisa Rascoe; 6 grandchildren, Bridget Toler, Kristin Delancey, Grant Rascoe, Corbin Toler, April Sielck and Meredith Rascoe; great grandchild, Lena Delancey; as well as siblings, Voilet Berteaux, Peggy Pickering, Larry Toler, Louis Toler and Helen Conaway.
Services will be held on March 6, 2018 at 9:00am at the Fort Sam Houston Main Post Chapel with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery of San Antonio, Texas.
