Claudine Mae Voges Burgess entered eternal rest on 4/24/2024 at the age of eighty-four. Claudine was born on October 29, 1939, to Norma Haas Lucas and Erwin G. Voges in Comal County, Texas.
After graduating from college with a teaching degree, she spent several years teaching at Schertz Elementary school. At the age of fifty she went back to school to become a certified medical radiologist and worked at San Antonio Medical Associates where she retired in 2010. Claudine was a member of Cibolo Valley Baptist Church in Cibolo, Texas, a lifetime member of Rainbow Girls and the Order of the Eastern Star where she achieved the honor of being named Grand Worthy Matron.
Claudine was preceded in death by her parents Norma Haas Lucas and Erwin G. Voges, her husband Clarence Vetkoetter Jr., and her stepdaughter Patti Vetkoetter. She is survived by son Erwin (Cindy), stepdaughters Jeannie (David), Donna (Michael), Grandchildren Jason (Rebecca), Rachel (Ken), Danielle (Brandon), April, Audrie, Kayla, Alex, Zachary, and Aaron. She leaves behind many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and cherished friends.

Respecting Claudine’s passion for charitable causes and nature, the family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Cibolo Baptist Church, North Shore Animal League America, Salesian Missions, or The Nature Conservancy.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 17, 2024 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. with a service on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009 Schertz. A graveside service and interment will follow at the Comal Cemetery in New Braunfels, TX.
