Claude lived a full life and he will be remembered for his love of storytelling. The true life stories he would tell were almost unbelievable and would have everyone in the room laughing (including himself). He was known to give everyone a hard time (in a loving way of course), especially his wife. He had a way of making everyone he met feel welcomed and included. In his later years, he enjoyed hanging out with family, watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren participate in sports and attending mass every Saturday evening at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy, sisters Marian and Pat, son Russell and his wife Patty, son-in-law Don, grandchildren Staci, Amy and Corey, great-grandchildren Daniel, Ethan, Luke, Emma, and Isaac and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughters Kathy and Sherry and grandson Michael.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00PM on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel, with a Rosary being recited at 7:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, with Graveside Services immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery.
