Clarence Minor

Clarence Eugene Minor, "Gene" to his friends and family, born July 10, 1932 went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2016 at the age of 83. He is survived by his loving spouse Laura Lorene Minor; his sons Randal Minor, Michael Minor, Bruce Minor; his grandchildren, Jade Minor, Michael Minor, Natalie Minor, Theodore Minor; great grandchildren, Luca Norman and Evangeline Norman; and his brother Howard Minor. Born the son of a sharecropper in East Tennessee, Gene served his country honorably with a long career retiring with the USAF as a Chief Master Sergeant and continuing his service with the USAF as a GM-15 in the civil service. He was a religious man who applied his love for country and gospel music with his love for God, often participating and playing music with the church. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A private graveside service will be held with family members at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery where Gene wished to be interred with his comrades in arms. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that donations be made on behalf of Gene Minor to the American Heart Association or the United Services Organization (USO).
