Clara Schertz

November 9, 1921 — January 28, 2010

Clara Belle Schertz, age 88, of Schertz, Texas passed away on January 28, 2010. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard & Emma Grote; husband, Roman E. Schertz; sister, Frances Bemis and brothers, Clarence Grote and Udo Grote. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce Foster & husband, John and Jeanie Classen & husband, Harold; grandchildren, Steven Foster, Stephanie Moeller & husband, Jeff, Kay Cittadine & husband, Stephen and Billy Classen & wife, Kristina; great-grandchildren, Sam Foster, Zoe Foster, Emilie & Brooke Moeller and Josh, Lexi & Mia Cittadine; sisters, Winona Waite, Helen Moore & Marguerite Myers, as well as numerous other relatives and dear friends. Clara spent much of her time enjoying bowling, playing cards, dominos & bingo. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Schertz Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 1, 2010 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel with Mickey McCandless officiating. Interment will follow at Comal Cemetery.
