Clara Harris

May 30, 1939 — April 18, 2012

Clara Lee Harris, 72, passed away April 18, 2012 at Northeast Methodist Hospital from complications of pneumonia. She was the beloved wife of Thomas J. Harris, sharing nearly 50 years of unconditional love, friendship and companionship. She is survived by 2 daughters, Lisa Hawkins and her husband, Bruce Hawkins; Tina Struxness, along with her treasured grandchildren, Nicole, Danielle, Thomas and her beloved great-grandson, Aiden. The greatest joy in her life was spending time with her family and spoiling us with love and attention. We are very blessed to have such a close and loving family. She was an excellent cook and an outstanding athlete, before she became ill. She had a wonderful, witty sense of humor. She will be missed so very much, but we take comfort in the fact that our loss is Heavens gain. The visitation will be held at the Schertz Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral Services (Mass) will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Randolph Air Force Base Chapel One. Non-military who wish to attend should arrive at the visitors center main gate by 9:30am to be escorted to the chapel. A private family ceremony will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Friday, April 27, 2012.
