Cindy Gonzalez

January 20, 1958 — January 11, 2019

Cindy J. Gonzalez, of Schertz, Texas. Passed away on January 11, 2019 at the age of 60. She was born on January 20, 1958 in Carrizo Springs, Texas. She graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in 1977 and was a avid bingo player. Winning often, she credited to her lucky horse shoe that she lugged around in her purse. She deeply loved all her nieces and nephews and made sure that their birthday cards were full with money. Being diagnosed with Cancer for the second time, she was forced to retire early from Civil Service. Effects from the radiation treatment took its toll on Cindy. Being bed ridden and placed in Hospice, she never gave up. Her mother, who stayed at her side for many days at a time, never stopped praying.

With many well wishing prayers and the strength of our Lord, she would prevail. One year later, Miraculously Cindy would become Cancer free. Unfortunately tragedy would strike again with the loss of both her parents. Her heart wouldn't be as strong as it once was. Cindy in her frail state found the motivation and the strength to make one last trek to the great State of Virginia. Spending one last Christmas with family and friends, more importantly seeing and being with her nieces and nephews. On Friday, January 11, 2019 , She peacefully passed away while taking her daily nap. Standing with open arms on a beautiful golden street, Cindy was reunited with her parents Adan C. and Maria L. Gonzalez.

She is survived by her sister Adriana Lamberth (Frank) of Stafford, VA. and brothers, Danny Gonzalez of Schertz, TX. and Carlos Gonzalez of Schertz, TX. She will live forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
