Chong Mauricio

The world lost a beloved mother, Chong Cha (Moon) Mauricio, age 79, who passed on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, in her home surround by her son, Joe Yi Mauricio Jr. Moon was born November 17, 1943, in Seoul, Korea, and came to the United States in 1975. In 1978, Moon married the love of her life Joe V. Mauricio, in San Antonio, Texas. Together Moon and Joe raised a wonderful son.

Moon enjoyed taking care of her family. She also loved the outdoors and cooking. Moon truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with friends and family, snacking, and especially enjoyed watching movies with her son. A very loving and sweet person, she was instantly loved by everyone that met her. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Moon is survived by her loving son, Joe Yi Mauricio Jr. of Schertz, Texas. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
