Cheryl Leah Bandel passed away on October 3, 2011 in Schertz, Texas at the age of 61 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Jack David & Mittie Akin and one brother, Jack David Akin, Jr. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband, Michael Bandel; daughter, Leslie Spurlock & husband, Jimmy; sons, Philip Bandel & wife, Micaela; Russell Bandel & wife, Amie; sisters, Cathy Kapka and Janice Johnson; grandchildren, Sydney, Rowdy, and Hailey Spurlock, Robert and Bryce Gonyer, Walker Lindeman and Jack Michael Bandel ; two nephews and two nieces. Visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral Services will be held at Schertz United Methodist Church at 1:00PM on Thursday, October 6, 2011 with interment to follow at Hill Country Memorial Gardens.
