Charles Nichols

July 7, 1952 — March 28, 2014

Charles Thomas Nichols, born on July 7, 1952, passed away on March 28, 2014, at the age of 61. Charles worked at Home Depot for 20 years and loved to go hunting & fishing. As much as he enjoyed the great outdoors, he loved his family above all and was proudest to be a father to 2 great children who will truly miss him. His grandson, Charles Colton Lindegard Nichols, his mother, Joyce Irene Schwartz Nichols, and his nephew, Mark Nichols, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Starr Roney Nichols of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Kaci Starr Nichols of San Antonio, Texas; son, Charles Clayton Nichols and wife, Larissa Lindegard of Newport News, Virginia; father, Charles R. Nichols of Universal City, Texas; siblings, Larry Stuart Nichols of Katy, Texas, Richard Wayne Nichols of St. Hedwig, Texas, and Diane Evelyn Nichols of San Antonio, Texas. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 9:00AM, at Schertz Funeral Home, Pastor Eileen Spehr Officiating. All services will conclude in the chapel on Saturday. Also, a Celebration of Charles' Life will take place on July 6, 2014 with more details to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charles' name to the American Cancer Society, 8115 Datapoint Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78229.
